Let me introduce you to Jessie J (Jessica Cornish) – rising star of 2011. Her debut single, “Do It Like A Dude” has already made an impact on the charts and is currently sitting at number 5 on iTunes UK at the moment. This song can mean a lot of things, depending on how you interpret it. But basically it tells men that women can be tough too like men.

Why should you care? Because she’s original and got the talent unlike many other artists nowadays. Her song titled “Who You Are” is another example of an empowering song – where she talks about real things – as she says, “It’s okay not to be okay…
Sometimes it’s hard, to follow your heart… everybody’s bruising, just be true to who you are!”

She has also penned a hit single for Miley Cyrus. Yes! That’s right! She’s one of the co-writer of Miley’s chart topping single “Party in the U.S.A.” At just 22 years old, Jessie has already won The Critics’ Best Choice Award at the BRIT Awards. Now she’s ready to make an impact in the States with her first official U.S. single, “Price Tag (feat. B.oB.)”.

You can follow her on Twitter and go on her Facebook page for more updates!
