First and foremost I would like to thank Cesar for taking some time off of his busy schedule to respond to this interview. I would also like to thank Christopher at Premier Men for making this happen.

I’m so proud to announce you to this top model, Cesar Casier (Premier Men). He has walked for Hugo Boss, Dior, Etro, Canali, Iceberg and many more. He has also appeared in GQ, Vogue, Fiasco, VMan and many more. This Belgium-born model is ready to make a name for himself in 2011. His latest campaign is for Antony Morato’s spring/summer 2011 collection. Not to mention he appears in numerous collection for Zara.

Currently living in New York and he blogs whenever he’s free. You can check out his blog here:

What’s more is that he’s very down-to-earth and I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot of him this year. You can check out the full interview below!

01 – Cesar, can you tell us how you were discovered?

I was discovered walking in the streets of my home city Gent/Belgium when i just tured 18 years young.

02 – Do you enjoy modeling?

I love modeling. It’s a great way to learn and to know new people, to see the world and if you like fashion, like I do, it’s almost a dream job.

03 – Can you describe your style?

My personal style is a mix of secondhand and high fashion brands.

I love Givenchy/YSL and Dries van Noten. I also like COS, AMERCIAN OUTFITTERS and TOPSHOP for cheaper stuff and basics.

I always wear black skinny jeans and some boots. I think that’s my signature.

04 – Who is your style icon?

I don’t really have any style Icon, I think it’s difficult for a guy to have a male style icon but I do like Tom Ford – his style, also Yves Saint Laurent is very chic i think.

05 – Tell us something that people don’t know about you

-My friends call me Ceesie.

-I have a blog:

-I’m obsessed with good and healthy food.

-I love to go to the movies by myself.

-I have a weakness for sweets and candy.

-I know every Hip Hop/ rap or R&B song. I just know every lyric. My friends call me the walking jukebox.

And the rest you have to discover! 😉

06 – What is a typical day in your life like?

If I don’t have to work or I don’t have any castings to do…

I start my day with a healthy breakfast (Yoghurt, papaya, pomegranate, kiwi,… mixed with muesli). Then I go to the Gym for about an hour. I answer my mails or work on my blog. Maybe I’ll go to the movies, go to a museum or I read in my book.

Meet up with some friends, go for dinner,…

I think my life is not very different then other people’s lives, except for my job then.

07 – How do you stay in shape? Do you go to the gym a lot?

I do! I think going to the gym is something a model is required to. I try to go to the gym 5 times a week. I also enjoy swimming a lot so i mix the 2.

08 – If you could turn back time would you choose a different job?

Funny, I was thinking that 2 days ago. NO! I would not. I learn everyday and everyday is a new adventure in my life. That’s what I love about being a model, everyday is never the same.

09 – Do you enjoy doing editorials more than modeling?

I enjoy doing editorials more cause you have a result of what you’ve done during the day. For the rest of your life you can show the pictures to your children or grandchildren. I think it’s cooler then just walking down the runway.

10 – Do you have any signature look/pose?

I don’t think I have. I do have dark eyebrows so that gives me a strong look.

11 – What’s currently playing on your iPod at the moment?

– Mya ft Jay-z – Best of Me

– Prince – Controversy

– Tupac – Wonder Why They Call You Bitch

– Nas & Damian Marley – Patience

– Lauren Hill – Doo Wop (that thing)

– Eric Benét Georgy Porgy

– FOX TO FOX – Precious Little Diamond

12 – If you could collaborate with any artists, who would it be?

I would love to do a shoot with Daria Werbowy on a hot sexy beach in Zanzibar pictures taken by Steven Meisel.

I would also like to work with Tom ford in the future.

And I wanna record a song with Madonna, Lauren Hill or Dr Dre.

13 – Do you have any big plans for 2011?

I wanna go to Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires.

And I’m planning on making 2011 an AMAZING and unforgettable year! 😉
