Looking at the fall 2011 collection from Chanel, you can’t help but wonder that the creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the apocalyptic world and female warriors. This season Karl is going for a darker theme – portraying darkness, edginess and toughness. Colors weren’t used a lot in this season.

Karl is playing with proportions for this collection – we have the slouchy pants, chunky knits, jumpsuit and capes. There’s also the iconic tweed jacket and dresses. Black and grey are used a lot in this collection making it more dramatic–supporting the volcanic backdrop with fog coming out from the rocks.
