Gucci seems to be breaking free from the other labels’ spring/summer collection–for its spring/summer 2012 collection, Gucci decides to go casual and formal chic that has a hint of retro-ness to it. Frida Giannini (the creative director of Gucci), focuses more on the cut, detailing, and sharpness of the clothing. Plaid blazer is paired with slim trousers–creating a smart casual look. Frida also designs briefcases and tote bags that are vintage-inspired that compliment the outfits.

Fabrics used are leather, latex, wool, and cashmere with colour palette such as navy blue, red, black, white, grey, maroon and beige. Crocodile skin are also used on some of the accessories giving them that luxurious feel.
