First of all, I would like to thank Sebastian for taking some time off of his busy schedule to do this interview and Christophe (Premier Men) for making this happened.

Sebastian Sauvé has come a long way since his debut in the modeling industry back in 2010 and he’s showing no sign of slowing down. He’s currently ranked at #39 on models.com’s Top 50 Male Models; as if that’s enough he has also got an amazing portfolio in his hands — already been featured on L’Officiel Hommes Germany, V Magazine, Esquire UK, GQ Italia, and many more. He has recently walked for Enrico Coveri, Calvin Klein, Frankie Morello, Moschino and Versace during Milan Fashion Week back in June 2011.

Having said that, I’m glad that I had the chance to do an interview with him and it was pretty interesting and funny. Check it out below!

VK: Hello, Sebastian! Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you were discovered.

SS: Lovely first question and not at all common. Just kidding. I’ll give the real answer for a change. I was taken into an agency in LA by a buddy my girlfriend and I were hanging out with during the last leg of our 4 month travelling experience. He wasn’t a scout but thought I had what it took so made some calls and set up a go see at Ford. Thanks Scott, I owe you! Any way, he took me in they said I had a unique look and asked if I wanted to give it a go, I had to decline as i started Uni in England 4 days later they recommended popping into they’re favourite agency in London when I had a chance. After about a year and a half I walked into Premier and here I am.

A bit about myself; tall, blonde, blue, large. Childish, likes everything especially food, sleep and comedy.

VK: What are your favourite things to do when you’re not modelling?

SS: Sleep, eat, play, laugh, explore, discover, try new things, do nothing but relax.

VK: What do you think is your best feature?

SS: My elbows! not really. I have no choice but to say my lips. they’re how people remember me and on many occasions hire me. So they’re the money makers. and the funny makers.

VK: You have recently walked for Thierry Mugler. What was that like?

SS: It was an experience times 10. I really enjoyed it. It was one of the brands that I recognised from my childhood which is saying a lot so I was very excited and crazy nervous through out. the show had nothing on the original Thierry Mugler shows but they’re getting there, that’s for sure. I had a blast!

VK: What is the highlight of your career so far?

SS: Big question. I guess it would have to be my big breaks. being signed with Premier. My first ever job which was for Attitude magazine. My first ever show which was Calvin Klein. My first ever cover, L’official Hommes and my First big money job which was Zara. These are all highlights as they’re mile stones in my career.

VK: If you could turn back time, would you choose a different job?
SS: Nope. Of course not. I mean if it could be any job in the world like the king of the world then yeah I would but in terms of realistic jobs that I could be doing now with my experience and age, nah, modelling wins. Especially since because of my unique job I still have tie to work on other projects/business ideas in the background and can constantly meet new contacts to help me along the way.

VK: What is your guilty pleasure?

SS: Farting and laughing my ass off

VK: Describe a typical day in your life when you’re not modeling.

SS: Sleep, wake up and pee, sleep, breakfast, coffee, computer, snack, games, nap, games, food, tv, snack, movie, computer, sleep. this is my ideal day any way. I often work in a kitchen when I’m not modelling to help out a restaurant and because I enjoy cooking

VK: Who is/are your style icon(s)?

SS: Teenage mutant ninja turtles

VK: Do you have any advice for people out there who want to model?

SS: Yeah, don’t. there’s not enough room for the both of us. Just kidding, I think everyone should give it a go but expect nothing out of it. Just take some plain snap shots without make-up, styling or expressions and send them, along with measurements to a whole bunch of agencies to see what they say. you’ve got nothing to lose. Expect nothing and you wont be disappointed.

VK: What’s currently playing on your iPod?

SS: zero-7, florence and the machine, major lazer, Diplo, gramaphonedzie, borgore, etc.

VK: Tell us one thing that people don’t know about you.

SS: I have 3 nipples and a tail… just kidding though my right hand is bigger than the left.

VK: Do you prefer doing editorial or walking down the runway?

SS: Editorial. Its completely unprofitable but its always fun and the only type of job where you can really express yourself. On a runway your hired to look the same as the other 20 guys and be expressionless.

VK: Any plans for 2011?

SS: Yeah, reach 2012 slightly better off. progress is always my plan. I have a lot of stuff going on. Starting up a website, a magazine, making a few shoot idea’s a reality, maybe making an iphone app, going to Brazil, NYC, Spain, Paris, Milan, South Africa, etc to expand my career. Maybe dab into acting as well who knows. I’m all kinds of busy. Progress is key!

VK: Thank you.

SS: Thanks so much for taking an interest and asking me to complete this interview. I hope it’s at least a little interesting. x
