Leebo Freeman has had quite the year – he became one of 2011’s hottest newcomers back in the spring and not long after that, Leebo earned his spot on models.com’s ‘Top 50 Male Models’. Ever since her debut back in spring 2011, Leebo has then been featured in numerous fashion magazines such as i-D, Essential Homme, Client Magazine, Schön, Fiasco, L’Officiel Hommes Germany, Vogue Hommes Japan, and many more.

Leebo has also walked for Mugler, Jeremy Scott, Vivienne Westwood, Frankie Morello and Dsquared². It’s safe to say that Leebo has an impressive portfolio under his belt.

01 – Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? How were you discovered?

Hm, about myself..well im a very positive person and love moving forward no matter what im doing. I <3 music and extreme sports. I was discovered simply by sending in applications all over the world on various agencies websites with polaroids. I got a call back an hour later and that was the start.

02 – Before you joined the modeling industry – what was your perception of the modeling industry?

I guess I thought it was very cool and that everyone kinda lived like posh rock stars… quite different.

03 – How did you feel when you got your first job?

I felt excited, a tad nervous but i have always been up for a challenge and game to do something new.

04 – Can you tell us something valuable to you that you’ve learned from working as a model?

I have learned that it is soo important to know that no matter what you do being friendly and positive will always get you far.

05 – You’ve built up a very impressive portfolio – you’ve done Vogue Homme Japan, L’Officiel Hommes Germany, W Korea etc. – are there any magazines that you would like to be featured in, in the future?

Yes I suppose that GQ would be a nice one to have under my belt.

06 – What were some of the feedbacks that you got when you first started modeling?

Hm some said that I was too large and that I might have trouble fitting clothes, and a lot said that I had a very interesting look. and of course I have always heard that I resemble Billy idol and Elvis.

07 – What have been your favourite shows this season?

Frankie Morello was AMAZING, such a fun lot! Michael bastian and Custo Barcelona were great as well.

08 – Describe a day in your life when you’re free.

Either spending time with my GF, mixing music on my laptop or out riding my bmx . love the simple pleasures like a walk to clear my head or cooking a meal and muckin around with Suz in kitchen.

09 – What music have you been listening to lately?

Lately I have been reaching back to some of my good ole tech death metal and always looking for fresh Progressive house tracks to influence my mixing. some artist would be “The Red Chord”, and “Komytea”

10 – If you weren’t a model, what would you be doing?

I’d be pushing my music all the time and be working on my acting non stop.

11 – Favourite city that you would like to visit. Why?

Tokyo Japan, Or Singapore. I have a strange fascination with impressive architecture.

12 – What have been the highlights of your career so far?

Well filming my hollywood flick Metryville was beyond amazing… and Just had the pleasure of shooting with Ellen Von Unworth for Russian Vogue, she is my dream photographer.

13 – What are you’re favourite modeling job? (ad campaign, editorial, runway etc.) Why?

I have had quite a few favourites and they were great because of the fun positive energy with the people i was working with.

14 – What is the one thing you can’t live without?

I can’t live without music.

15 – What’s next for Leebo Freeman?

Pushing some new things, and new directions…but i guess you will just have to wait to see! Cheers!!! x
