Dolce & Gabbana has given me an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at their S/S 2012 menswear campaign!

The campaign is inspired by Italian Cinema; Domenico and Stefano imagine the menswear summer 2012 campaign as a film interpreted by real Italian actors such as Francesco Scianna, Filippo Nigro, Giuseppe Fiorello, Chiara Francini, Thomas Trabbachi and Primo Reggiani. The candid style campaigns shot by Mariano Vivanco are intentional as Domenico & Stefano want to portray life in a Southern Italian village: a baptism, Sunday with the family, a portrait with mother, at the bar with friends, afternoons at the beach, courting the village beauty, guy talk, a stolen kiss on the docks and a birthday party with relatives.

The campaigns highlight the values of Dolce&Gabbana: Italian spirit, tradition, family, love, passion, joie de vivre and the ability to capture the modernity of the past and to render it contemporary.
