I’m sure many of you have heard of Clarisonic, if not, let me give you a short introduction. Clarisonic is a device that you use to clean your face/body. It comes with the device itself and a detachable brush heads that are changeable to fit your skin type. By now you’re probably thinking this is more for chick than guys… it’s probably true that the main market for this product is probably women, however, Clarisonic is generous enough to create a wide array of colors that are masculine and feminine.

What it comes with

The Acne Clarifying Collection comes with the Mia 2, Acne Cleansing Brush Head and the Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser.

The Mia 2 is the sister to the first generation Mia and it comes in two speeds – normal and low. The device also comes with a One-minute pulsing T-Timer that will pulse and beep every 20 seconds (forehead), 20 seconds (nose and chin) and 10 seconds (both cheeks). How you would use it, is just wet the brush head, put your cleanser on it or on your face directly. Instead of scrubbing your face like you normally do, you apply the brush to your face in a slow circular motion. You will notice that the foam or soap will have a yellow/grey-ish tint to it after you finish washing your face.

The Acne Cleansing Brush Head is  actually very gentle and soft on your skin and it won’t hurt any existing pimple on your face. Since the bristle is gentle and soft, it won’t really exfoliate that much, therefore, I use other exfoliating cleanser from time to time to take that extra dead skin off. If you find the brush too gentle, you can switch it to a different brush.

The Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser is formulated with 2% salicylic acid and three different active natural ingredients such as, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Japanese Green Tea and Vitamin C. I found that the cleanser didn’t really do much to my face, because my face is already used to the 5% benzoyl peroxide cream that I’ve been using. The cleanser doesn’t dry out your face like many other acne cleansers… if you like cleanser that smells great and isn’t harsh to your skin, then this might just be the one for you.

I suffer from mild acne condition and I also have an oily skin type, which means that my face gets greasy during the day around my T-Zone area. On top of that, I’ve got some acne scars around my cheeks area. It’s crucial for me to clean my face thoroughly and to exfoliate quite often. I find that using my hands to wash my face, the results aren’t very satisfying… sometimes I still feel some greasiness after the first wash.

I’ve used the Acne Clarifying Collection for about 4 weeks now and I’ve seen a vast improvement in my skin condition. The first week of using the products, my face broke out a lot more especially along my jaw line. I was actually quite scared that I made my acne condition even worse. I didn’t stop using it, because I knew that it was just a purging state where my skin gets rid of all the dirty stuff that it has accumulated over the years.  The second week of using it, I noticed that I only had a few pimples here and there. Third week and fourth week, I noticed that my breakouts have gone down tremendously. On top of that, my acne scars have improved so much – they weren’t as red anymore.

I’m actually very happy with the result that this product has given me and I’m sure in time, it will only get better and better. I will definitely recommend this product to people who suffer from acne and want to improve their skin condition.
