Sony announced the all new Xperia Tablet Z for a while now. They have recently announced that they will be taking pre-orders until May 25th; and for the Canadian market, if you pre-order now, you will receive charging cradle ($50 value).


The Xperia Tablet Z sports a slim 10.1″ body, measuring just 0.27” thick and weighing 1.09 lb.2 Also, the tablet’s frame together with strong display glass makes the device incredibly tough. It’s also dust- and water-resistant up to 3 feet for up to 30 minutes.

To take advantage of the stunning 10.1″ scree, Sony integrated a full-HD Reality Display, powered by Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2. The rear camera is 8MP and the front camera is 2MP; both camera feature the ExmorR® for mobile sensor,and take sharp shots in any condition, including low light. Aside from being able to take stunning pictures, Xperia Tablet Z also delivers on the sound quality. When watching a movie, user is able to experience the Surround 3D sound due to its S-Force® Surround 3D technology; when listening to music, user is able to hear a richer, deeper and more life-like sound with the Clear Audio+ technology.

For a quick and easy file transfers, Sony makes sure that the One Touch feature is available on this tablet. This lets you transfer content, including audio, video and images, among compatible devices. Seamlessly transfer content from tablet to TV, tablet to speaker or phone to tablet just by touching them together.

To be able to deliver a full user experience, this tablet is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 Cortex-A9 Quad Core Maximum 1.5 GHz (1 core operation), Maximum 1.5 GHz (Multi-core operation) that runs on Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean. The internal memory (RAM) is 2GB with battery that lasts up to 10 hours. You will be able to choose from a 16GB model or the 32GB; the price is $499.99 and $599.99 respectively.
