Lacoste Ready-to-Wear 2014
Today was such a great day! I had the chance to preview Lacoste’s AW14 collection–thank you Lacoste!!. The collection was divided into 4 sections – ‘Lacoste Live,’ ‘Ready-to-Wear,’ ‘Sportswear’ and their main collection. Lacoste Canada won’t be carrying all of the pieces shown on the runway but a few items that can be worn on daily basis which makes sense. To make things easier, I’ve labeled each section in this post so that you know which is which. Below are a few pictures from the RTW 2014 collection and let me tell you they looked even better in person. The fabrics, texture, color and details of the pieces are simply stunning. My favourite items are the burgundy jacket, beige/caramel coat and the sweatshirt with neck zipper. From what I’ve seen, I can tell that Felipe was inspired a little by streetwear which he infused with a sporty element to create this timeless, chic and edgy collection.
Lacoste Live! AW14
Next we have the Lacoste Live! AW14 collection which is mostly targeted for teenagers to young adults, but it doesn’t matter because if you can wear it, why not? As you can see, this collection is a lot different as it’s more out there, vibrant, live and casual. This section features many pieces with great details, fabrics and textures; expect a lot of patterns prints and vibrant colors. This is one of those collections where the single item can be worn as as a statement piece, sometimes less is more. My favourite items are: the croc embossed sweatshirt, denim shirt, quilted/padded jacket and sweatshirt.
Sportswear & Main AW14 Collection
Last and definitely not least, the sport and main section of the whole AW14 collection. The main collection offers an array of casual and formal ensembles that are chic, polished and casual at the same time. Expect knitwear, selections of the iconic polo shirts, pants, and many more. The sport section offers basic and simple work out ensembles that are updated with modern designs and styles.
The accessories from this collection ranges from backpack to travel bag to wallets and socks. The design and styles of the accessories aren’t too over-the-top which I like because you don’t want your accessories to clash with your outfit. It’s simple, fun and fresh!
