There is one word to describe Lacoste‘s Spring Summer 2014 collection–”lightness”. This new collection is created around the word lightness, Felipe Oliveira created a collection that’s carefree, accessible and fresh juxtaposing all the right elements with complimentary silhouettes. One of the major elements in this collection is the straight line which starts out as piping that outline a couple of pieces such as the green blazer and blue shirt. The line eventually expands into a full solid color that gives shape to the outerwear, such as the trench coat and jacket. Needless to say, the SS14 collection is full of wonderful pieces that perfect for evening and morning wear–it’s elegant, relaxed and chic sportswear.

Color palette for this collection is more washed out, such as half tones blues and greens, different shades of red which gives was to variations of pink, clay brown and rosy beige. To compliment the overall look, lush fabrics such as thrown knits, nylon organza, suede and brushed cottons are used. For accessories, men can expect flat satchel, elegant briefcase, classic square-frame sunglasses, and 80’s revival sneaker with perforated leather.
